Title: A request for cheesy Chemistry related pick-up lines
Post by: Amide on January 15, 2007, 03:59:57 AM
So does anyone have any good chemistry ones?

I only know math and biology related ones.

If you were Sin2, I would be Cos2 so together we would be 1.
If I could be an enzyme, I would be DNA helicase so I could unzip your genes.

Are you a Lewis Acid? Cause I have some electrons to donate.

yeah. not all that good, I apologize.

I have another math one for you.
I want to be a derivative so I can lie tangent to your curves.

What does it take to get over YOUR activation barrier?
I'm positive, you're negative, let's get together and make a compound!
If I could rewrite the periodic table, I would put Uranium and Iodine together, for U and I!
My favorite element is uranium, because I love U!
It's true that opposites attract. We're like an electron and a proton, we come together and now we're stable... and steady!
You want to see if we can make some new compounds from an "energetic" reaction?
You must be one of those new neon compounds with fluorine and iodine, because you are FINe!
If I were a Bunsen burner, you would be my flame, hot enough to melt a few things.
I got a charge out of bonding with you.
You make my atomic number rise.
You're so cool, molecules stop in your presence.
I have mass. You have mass. We’re naturally attracted!
Hey baby, I’ll lower your kinetic energy.
You make me hotter than sulfur hydroxide mixed with ethyl acetate
You can hydrolyze me anytime
You must be a good benzene ring, because you are pleasantly aromatic.
You're an electrophile and I'm a nucleophile, we're attracted and we can make each other happy.
You're an alcohol and I'm your ketone. I'll protect your from the Grignards of life.

And my personal favorite..

You are a photon quanta to my valence electron. You excite me to a higher energy level.

Where did you get these? Very funny. :)

Wanna experiment with a chemist?

Cuddle a chemist  -  see the reaction!

I like the Sin2 / Cos2  one!  Very geeky - I doubt a lot of girls will understand it - but I like it.

Fancy undergoing neucleophillic SN2 substitution, your underwear would make a great leaving group ;D

Not to sound sexist, but for most (basically all the ones I know) girls this would go clear over their heads.

Now to make the girls comment sound ok, a lot of guys I know wouldn't understand these pickup lines also.

Thread revival time...I made up this one this evening...hot off the gray matter!

"Hey babe...Have you ever seen a hypergolic reaction before?"
"No"
"Would you like to?"
"Sure"
"Well, come in the back room with me...we could be hot and spontaneous together!"

Everyone knows its not the size of the vector that matters, but the way the force is delivered.

Hey can you see if my buffer's at the right pH...? All you have to do is stick your pH meter into my beaker. ;)

So baby, let me tell you, I'm just a little one prime carbocation... that means you better have a large nucleophile :P.

MmmMm... my beta-receptor needs some interaction with a signaling molecule... do you have any you wanna give me?

LOL ok... i'm such a nerd. *blush*

im a female.  i like the sin/cos one and the polar bear one. they are cute! well, the polar one. the sin/cos is just funny....which might i add, doesn't offend me at all, so i dont know why someone would suggest that it would offend females  ???

I personally like:

You make me hotter than sulfur hydroxide mixed with ethyl acetate  ;)

and the sin/cos one did not go over my head thanks  :P

Are you a photon? Because you get me to an excited state.

Related:
Valentine's day version: "Will you be my photon?"

If I'm a ligand, you must be a metal...Because I think we have metal to ligand charge transfer going on. (Flatter them with favorite metallic pun... or state something about love being so complex...)

That's it for the day...I just thought of these recently...

The funniest one is "Wanna experiment with a chemist?" and the vector-force one.   ;)

2 years ago, a guy tried the sin/cos one on me. I dated him for 6 months.
What can I say? If he was an iron, my current bf's zinc.

If you were my reaction I'd be doing you on my bench

Do I promote your electrons from your HOMO to your LUMO?

I'm in my excited state baby, want to see my elongated dipole moment?

I'm as bulky as tBuLi baby.

Whenever I am near you, I undergo anaerobic respiration because you take my breath away!

Can I be your enzyme? because my active site is dying for a chemical reaction.  :P

You're so hot, you denature my proteins.

I am a conjugate acid, you are a conjugate base .Let’s hook up and create conjugate pairs.

Mission completed:
Me: "In my excited state I have an elongated dipole moment"
her: *backturn*
Me: *laugh my ass off*
My wingman: "that was awesome"
 ;D :D
