Title: I have a few questions about Chloroplast and plants, I guess

First of all I am an Economics major, but I have had a recent interest in biochemistry... I'm a bit to far into my Econ degree to switch my studies though so I go to the internet to fill my curiosity now.

Chloroplast, works the same way in all plants, efficiency wise? Are there any plants out there that convert sun light into energy more "efficiently" than others. I would assume the process would be the same, but that in fact there are plants that are "better" at it simply by design.

Yes I'm serious...

I guess ultimately my question is from my dream that I had about making a Organic Solar Cell, or Biological Solar Cell for Solar Power use lol  ;D

How far fetched is that idea?

Could we make such a thing? I just think nature is more efficient than our machines are, and some kind of solar panel that uses chloroplast to generate electricity would be pretty sweet
