"Calculate the percentage of empty space in a face centered cubic lattice, and show that it does not depend on the edge length of the unit cell or on the size of the atoms in the unit cell."
My attempt I'm really confused on this problem. I know that in a face centered cubic, there are are total of 4 atoms. That's as far as I can get, I guess I feel like the problem isn't giving me enough information.

First of all don't worry about the length and all those stuff. You can just say that the length of an edge is 1.
And then try to find the radius of the atoms in the lattice.
