Title: Glucose and Sulfuric acid
Post by: rainbow on October 03, 2005, 11:09:43 PM
Do you know what the name of the chemical is that is created when you mix glucose/sugar (C6H12O6) with sulfuric acid (H2SO4)?  I know that the chemical formula for this is 7H20+SO2 C6+1/2O2, but I really don't know what this means.  One website said something about elemental carbon and water, but I'm not sure.  Any ideas? Thanks!
