What's up, I was wondering does anyone have any good organic chemistry resources/ tips. I found a few websites that help me out a lot. I put the website with a brief description of it. If you know of any sites that could help feel free to post it, it will be a great help thanks :)
http://www.fccj.us/chm2210/2210pptmenu.html - power points of every chapter in John McMurry’s text book
http://www.chemhelper.com/introtest.html - Practice!! This site allows you to take practice test. On the left hand side of the site there is a navigation option that allows you to watch tutorials and learn mechanisms
http://www.ochem.com/ - Cool website for practice. The site has flashcards, practice exams, lessons, videos and tutorials. The website goes by an old text book by burice. Although the site overall seems pretty old, it is still amazing.
http://www.cliffsnotes.com/study_guide/Organic-Chemistry-I.topicArticleId-22667.html - cool website for reading text, but gets boring after a while.
http://studystove.com/organic-chemistry-practice-problems?tid%5B%5D=40 - cool site to practice.
http://chemistry.boisestate.edu/people/richardbanks/organic/nomenclature/organicnomenclature1.htm
This site is excellent for nomenclature
-
www.organic-chemistry.org - Named reactions, synthesis search and protecting group compatibility tables.
www.chemicalize.org - Name to structure (or structure to name) and various calculated properties.
www.chem.qmul.ac.uk/iupac/ - IUPAC nomenclature
http://chemsearch.kovsky.net/ - Chemistry reference resolver: type journal, year and first page for instant redirection to the article - I love this site.
http://www.chem.wisc.edu/areas/reich/pkatable/ - pKa table (DMSO)
http://research.chem.psu.edu/brpgroup/pKa_compilation.pdf - pKa table (water)
http://evans.harvard.edu/pdf/evans_pka_table.pdf - another pKa table

I often use ChemSpider: http://www.chemspider.com (http://www.chemspider.com) a structural database from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Also a synthesis database http://synarchive.com (http://synarchive.com).

Thanks! ChemSpider seems lovely. I didn't know it.
Synarchive seems nice too; but didn't have any of the molecules I need. :(

Here is one for nomenclature.

I have few posts on my sites on naming of organic compounds. check it out.

This is a link to over 40 highly valuable Organic Chemistry Resources on the web, with some leading to many more links.
http://lennoxtutoring.com/organic-chemistry-tutor-student-resources/
Some of the links include the following:
Acid-Base Worksheet Supplement
Al’s Notebook of Commonly Used Experimental Procedures
Amide Bond Synthesis (Nature)
Amino Acids Guide
Challenging Problems in Organic Chemistry (David Evans, Harvard)
ChemPen Chemical Structure Drawing Software
ChemTube3D (University of Liverpool)
Classic Organic Reactions
Classic Organic Named Reactions (University of Liverpool)
Common Definitions & Terms in Organic Chemistry
Curly Arrow Reaction Mechanisms (University of Aberdeen)
David Evans pKa Table (Harvard University)
Please put them to good use!

EasyOChem - http://www.easyochem.com
EasyOChem is a free site for students studying Organic Chemistry. We provide online interactive immersive couses and web apps to make OChem easy. Some of our apps inlcude
1) MechXPlorer - Student provides curved arrows for a variety of mechanisms.
2) EasyOLewis - Students provides charges or lone pairs to given structures.
3) EasyOAcidBase-Students determine if acidbase reaction proceeds forward or backward. Good practice for pKa's.
3) Structure to name - Students are given a random structure and must provide a name.
4) Name to Structure - Students are given a random name and must provide a structure.
5) EasyORS - Students determine RS configuration for randomly generated chiral molecules.
6) EasyOEZ - Students determine EZ configuration for randomly generated alkenes.
Let me know what you think or the site.

Check out my site as well. i tried to put everything in easy manner.

I think this site is very useful, just click on the left hand side for various resources.

It is pretty incredible really, we have all of this available to us at the touch of a button.
This is a good resource for free chemical drawing / NMR processing software

http://chemwiki.ucdavis.edu/Organic_Chemistry
Handy site with examples, explanations, and practice problems on organic chemistry topics.
-
I recently started a YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/chemsurvival
It contains short, narrated videos of animations from my classes. I hope they are useful!
I should also mention the good people at www.vespr.org who are testing their concept out on general chemistry but are working on an organic chemistry beta for release soon!
-
Alison Frontier at Rochester has a great site giving practical advice for working in organic research labs:
http://chem.chem.rochester.edu/~nvd/
The site itself is a little basic, but the content is outstanding.
-
Here is another site from Rochester, needing a little Mojo.
http://chem.chem.rochester.edu/nvdcgi/mojo.cgi (http://chem.chem.rochester.edu/nvdcgi/mojo.cgi)
It has some very good features study it well.

I think this site is also useful, recommend to you

Socratic.org is launching their organic chemistry page soon (you can see its current state here: http://socratic.org/organic-chemistry/). About half of the topics are linked to good youtube videos. If you know of any other good youtube videos on orgo, let me know!

http://www2.chemistry.msu.edu/faculty/reusch/VirtTxtJml/Questions/problems.htm
My professor shared this link with us. Lots of practice problems on a variety of topics!

....its always good to know what some term mean...
Illustrated Glossary of Organic Chemistry
http://www.chem.ucla.edu/harding/IGOC/IGOC.html
..a great source to remind you what terms , reactions ...etc. ..java

I couldn't see this one in any of the other posts so apologies for duplication if I missed it.
Spectral database for organic compounds (SDBS)

we always use www.molbase.com
-
A list of commercially available chiral units (http://www.f.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~kanai/document/img/chiral_unit.pdf).
-
https://www.khanacademy.org/science/organic-chemistry
This covers the basics of organic chemistry. However it is missing nomenclature and reactions of lots of oxygen containing functional groups, quite a few nitrogen containing groups such as Azo compounds, some sulphur containing groups such as disulfides(which are similar to peroxides in structure because they have R-S-S-R' and peroxides have R-O-O-R'), phosphorus containing groups such as phosphate, and boron containing groups such as borinic acids and esters.
