Title: how do you make 5% aqueous HCL ?

Hello,

How would i make up a solution of 5% aqueous HCL starting with 2M dilute HCL ??

First step - you need both concentrations expressed using the same units. Either convert % to M or M to %. The former will end with easier calculations in the next step.

You should know a density, at lest, one of the solution.

how do you convert % to M?

First step - you need both concentrations expressed using the same units. Either convert % to M or M to %. The former will end with easier calculations in the next step.
