In a Kow experiment, I got the concentration of an organic compound in the water phase via a UV spectrophotometer (via a calibration curve). We have then been asked to estimate the concentration of the organic compound in the octanol phase so we can workout a value for Kow. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Should you have been given the starting concentration or mass?
