Title: remembering first 30 elements
Post by: The-Kid on February 06, 2006, 12:31:36 AM
Hey guys hope your all doing well..

I need to learn the first 30 elements in order, name and symbol. What's the fastest and easiest way to be able to remember them?
I've learnt the first 10 by just keep reading over them ... but that gets kinda tidious after  a while..

I heard that rhymes are good... anyone got any ?

Thanks in advance  ;D

I remember them by major groups, followed by the ions they form.  After working with them for a long time, you get to also know their molar masses pretty well which helps in quick calculations.

Other than that, I use a periodic table. ;)
