Title: Lab guide 101 for biochemistry??
Post by: user11 on September 23, 2014, 07:21:46 AM
What is a good Biochemistry lab guide textbook?
I wan't to understand the theory and how to use the different instruments and  in biochemistry and a guide to the different lab techniques in biochemistry to gain more confidence in the lab.
It would be good with visual images and clear explanations.

Fundamental laboratory approaches for biochemistry and biotechnology by Ninfa, Ballou, and Benore, 2nd ed., is clearly written.  A great deal depends, however, on specifically which techniques are of interest to you.

Although it may not be great for beginners, I frequently reference Current Protocols in Molecular Biology (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/book/10.1002/0471142727/toc) for information about how to perform various types of procedures in biochemistry and molecular biology.
