Is there any chlorine gas released in melting the common salt ?
If yes then how to collect it for other uses?

Is there any chlorine gas released in melting the common salt ?
What do you mean by the common salt - sodium chloride?
Then no.
-
Yes i mean sodium chloride on heating temperature 770 degree Celsius
Is there any chemical change occurs
-
No, you're in luck, sodium chloride doesn't decompose at its melting point. Getting it that hot, safely, can be a challenge for a novice.

Dear sir
Currently i am running an industrial plant to process common salt i.e. sodium chloride .
There i feel a little amount of chlorine in air on heating it nearly 770 ~ 800 degree Celsius.
So i needed to know about how to detect the presence of chlorine in that air

There may be test strips available for general use, or for larger scales, hazardous release sensors. You could also sample the air, and have it submitted for GC
-
Thank you
If testing strips come with a certain name please let me know .
Else i will go for air sample testing .
