Title: Filters pre-washing for Dissolved Organic Carbon contamination removal
Post by: ruggero.cavallino on June 28, 2016, 10:05:51 AM
Good Afternoon ,

I would like to run an Ultrafiltration experiment using 4mL Amicon filters, measuring then the DOC content [ppm] in the centrifuged filtrate solutions.

The problem is that those cellulose filters have glycerine traces and so they contaminate the samples, ruining the analysis.
I could actually decrease the DOC contamination from the filters, by pre-washing them with Milli-Q-water for at least 4 times.

But I am looking for a quicker and more efficient method to remove this DOC contamination possibility.

Any Ideas?

Thank you
