Title: Spilled a little HCl solution on my hand.
Post by: Moso13 on February 15, 2017, 11:00:02 AM
It was a solution of 5 mL 3M HCl, 4 mL of ethyl acetate and 1 mL of DI water. It was only a little bit and washed it off immediately. Was fine but now a part of my finger stings but the other places it touched me does not. I was picking at that naiI last night so it might just sting from that and I do have some cuts on my hands but nothing major and I don t think it Touched it. Should I be ok?

Due to liability, we don't offer medical advice at this forum. My personal opinion is that this is a moderate strength solution and the exposure seems fairly small by your description, so you probably just have some skin irritation. However if you have a true medical concern and want informed treatment options, you should contact a physician.
