Title: Any good reference on determining the redox poise?

I was investigating ORP measurements in water and stumbled into the quantity called the Poise. It seems to be something equivalent to the pH buffer capacity for redox reactions, but information about it seems to be quite low and the quantity being called the same as the viscosity unit doesn't help.

Anyone here has a link or a book reference where the redox Poise is widely discussed?

I don't know a great deal about it, but it comes up in biochemistry with respect to thiol/disulfide systems.  For example:
