HELLO! IM A CHEMICAL ENGINNERING STUDENT IN NEED OF SOME HELP IN AN ASPEN HYSYS SIMULATION PROBLEM.
MY CAPSTONE PROJECT/THESIS IS ABOUT PRODUCING ACETIC ACID FROM THE OXIDATION OF ACETALDEHYDE AND UPON SIMULATION I USED THE PLUG FLOW REACTOR. MY SIMULAION IS NOT FINISHED YET BECAUSE I ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM IN MY REACTOR. WHAT HAPPENED WAS THAT ONLY A VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF ACETIC ACID WAS PRODUCED (ABOUT 1876 KILOGRAM PER HOUR) WHILE MY ACETALDEHYDE IS 13,613 KILOGRAM/HOUR. ONLY VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF ACETALDEHYDE WAS CONVERTED TO ACETIC ACID.
HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE MULTIPLE PLUG FLOW REACTORS IN SERIES IN MANUFACTURING PLANT, LET'S SAY 20 PLUG FLOW REACTORS?
