Title: Catalytic Transfer Hydrogenation

I just did my lab on catalytic transfer hydrogenation (CTH) of castor oil and have a conversation about the CTH method. Do you think there are some disadvantages of this method since we use CTH instead of the standard hydrogenation to increase safety.

Well what might be in the reaction after a CTH that wouldn't be in there with a direct hydrogenation?
