Title: What is this material?
Post by: Jennifer on January 23, 2019, 11:12:11 AM
This residue was found in a filter that was used to filter an emulsion. Prior to the production of this emulsion. Some gum was present prior to the production. This yellowish light-weight residue is not soluble in isopropanol, acetone or ethyl acetate. It does not swell nor dissolves in water as I expected if it was some gum. I performed FTIR analysis after it was dried. Here are some results from the analysis. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks.
