Title: Calculating Mass
Post by: Chris Kris on February 05, 2019, 06:23:48 PM
"Calculate the mass of CO2 that can be produced if the reaction of 40.0 g of pentane and sufficient oxygen has a 65.0 %yield."

If it's not too much to ask, could I get the answer with a step by step guide? It would be much appreciated

Start from a balanced reaction and calculate a number of moles of carbon in 40.0 g pentane. Next step will give you the mass of carbon dioxide with 100 % yield.
