Title: Dilution Question
Post by: alyyx on February 10, 2019, 01:08:26 PM
Can someone help with this dilution question? I know it's pretty easy but I'm just not sure what numbers to put in the equation C1V1=C2V2.

Recipe 1 : LB media for 1 L
10 g Tryptone
5 g Yeast Extract
10 g NaCl

but you only want 100 mL. How much of each ingredient should be measured?
? g Tryptone; ? g Yeast Extract; ? g NaCl

Thank you so much

This is not a dilution question. This is the scaling question.

If you divide 10 grams of NaCl into 10 equal parts, then how much each portion will weigh?

If 1000 mL has 10 g Tryptone how much in 100 mL
You can use ratio method here.
