A request for cheesy Chemistry related pick-up lines
« on: January 15, 2007, 03:59:57 AM »
So does anyone have any good chemistry ones?

I only know math and biology related ones.

If you were Sin2, I would be Cos2 so together we would be 1.
If I could be an enzyme, I would be DNA helicase so I could unzip your genes.

Are you a Lewis Acid? Cause I have some electrons to donate.

yeah. not all that good, I apologize.

I have another math one for you.
I want to be a derivative so I can lie tangent to your curves.

What does it take to get over YOUR activation barrier?
I'm positive, you're negative, let's get together and make a compound!
If I could rewrite the periodic table, I would put Uranium and Iodine together, for U and I!
My favorite element is uranium, because I love U!
It's true that opposites attract. We're like an electron and a proton, we come together and now we're stable... and steady!
You want to see if we can make some new compounds from an "energetic" reaction?
You must be one of those new neon compounds with fluorine and iodine, because you are FINe!
If I were a Bunsen burner, you would be my flame, hot enough to melt a few things.
I got a charge out of bonding with you.
You make my atomic number rise.
You're so cool, molecules stop in your presence.
I have mass. You have mass. We’re naturally attracted!
Hey baby, I’ll lower your kinetic energy.
You make me hotter than sulfur hydroxide mixed with ethyl acetate
You can hydrolyze me anytime
You must be a good benzene ring, because you are pleasantly aromatic.
You're an electrophile and I'm a nucleophile, we're attracted and we can make each other happy.
You're an alcohol and I'm your ketone. I'll protect your from the Grignards of life.

And my personal favorite..

You are a photon quanta to my valence electron. You excite me to a higher energy level.

Where did you get these? Very funny. :)

Cuddle a chemist  -  see the reaction!

I like the Sin2 / Cos2  one!  Very geeky - I doubt a lot of girls will understand it - but I like it.

Tonight I’m going to party like it’s on sale for $19.99!

Not to sound sexist, but for most (basically all the ones I know) girls this would go clear over their heads.

Now to make the girls comment sound ok, a lot of guys I know wouldn't understand these pickup lines also.

Thread revival time...I made up this one this evening...hot off the gray matter!

"Hey babe...Have you ever seen a hypergolic reaction before?"
"No"
"Would you like to?"
"Sure"
"Well, come in the back room with me...we could be hot and spontaneous together!"
