can anyone help explain how anaytical results for an example mercury, when we get results lets say 2.03 micrograms/litre and needs to be converted to miligrams/kilogram?

sample weight: 0.5grams
mark up volume: 20 ml distilled water

please show step by step the calculations...thank you!

(0.020 liters)(2.03 ug/liter)=0.0406 ug Hg

(0.0406 ug Hg)/0.5 grams sample= 0.0812ug Hg/gram sample

(0.0812ug/gram)(1000gram/kg)(1mg/1000ug)=0.0812 mg/kg
