separation.
« on: November 06, 2007, 08:21:26 PM »
In chemistry class I have to figure out how to separate different elements from a micro-mixture. What are some ways to separate an Ionic substance, organic substance, a network sold, a metallic substance, a nonpolar covalent substance, and an element.

I think ive figured out how to seperate the inoc substnace by seeing if its soluable and then boiling the water out of it to get the ionic substnace.

Also i know, if there is a metal in the mixture to use a magnet to attract the substance.

other then that i am still researching how to do the rest, i cant seem to find the others. i would really appreciate your help.
