Basic question (Electron bonding)
« on: December 04, 2007, 07:14:32 PM »
Ammonia (NH3), where will the bonding electrons spend most of their time? Around hydrogen or nitrogen and why?

I'm just starting this subject in my class and i'm a bit confused. My answer would be around nitrogen but i'm having difficulties explaining why, or if i'm even right.

Dear Raserei;
Check/Read the “Electronegativity”, and what it is telling you, and compare:

Good Luck!
