Can anyone help me with this chemistry problem?
« on: December 10, 2007, 04:06:35 PM »

I am confused on what I should do on this problem. Can anyone help me?

A pot of water (2.5 Liters of water) initially at 25.0 degrees C is heated to boiling. How much energy is needed to heat the water? The density of water is 1 g/ml.

Dear NinaNicole;

At what Temperature (for Students!) does Water start to boil?

Second: The Heat Capacity of Water is: 4.184kJoule °C-1 kg-1 (for Students!, and is constant!).

Could that be enough additional Info, if you think about “Heat Capacity”?

Good Luck!
