stoichiometry question!
« on: December 10, 2007, 09:47:11 PM »
I keep getting the wrong answer for this question... I think I'm missing a step or two. Help please?  ???

Suppose the reaction Ca3(PO4)2 + 3H2SO4 ---> 3CASO4 + 2H3PO4 is carried out starting with 103g of Ca3(PO4)2 and 75g pf H2SO4. How much phosphoric acid will be produced?
a) 74.9g
b.) 50g
c.) 32.5g
d.)32.5g
e.) 97.6g

How many mols of each do you have? Which one is the limiting reactant? Based on which one is the limiting reactant, how much can be produced?
