hi guys im pretty new to this soooo here goes =P

so my teacher was saying like all types of interactions include london forces
so for CH3I i know this has a dipole dipole interaction
but does it also have a london force involved? cause my book calls london forces induced dipole - induced dipole
so i was wondering if CH3I has 2 types of interactions. thanks

Yes.  All moleucles experience London dispersion forces.  So, CH3I molecules interact via both dipole-dipole interactions and London dispersion forces.  However, the dipole-dipole interactions are much stronger than the dispersion forces, so the dispersion forces are not too important in this case.
