Would anyone be able to explain how yeast fermentation works in anaerobic situations (no oxygen available)
If I were to allow it to ferment in a plastic bag with 4g of yeast, 4g of sugar, 40 mL of water 40ÂșC...(Note, no air in bag = no oxygen = anaerobic situation), is it suppose to produce carbon dioxide and ethanol...? Not sure how the equation will look like?
If after an hour, I am to measure the mass of bag including contents, I guess it is to weigh more due to carbon dioxide produced...right? If I was to burn a splint in bag, the fire is suppose to burn out because carbon dioxide is present? But will the mass of bag and contents change now because I burned it?
Will placing the bags in different water baths (different temperature) affect the yeast fermentation?? In what ways??
Wow, I have quite a few questions to ask
, thank you to those that help
