Oxychem - a professional supplier of Chlorine Dioxide generation precursors gives:
5NaClO2 + 4HCl = 4ClO2 + 5NACl + 2H20
which is a balanced equation, however it states that this conversion in only 80% efficient so a residue of 1 part of unconverted NaClO2 and I suppose a corresponding amount of HCl must be assumed in practice.  I plan to test such a reaction with a litmus paper (as well as a chlorine diod=xide test strip). I will report further if anyone is still interested.
