Salvinorin A is the main active psychotropic molecule in Salvia divinorum, a Mexican plant which has a long history of use as an entheogen by indigenous Mazatec shamans. Salvinorin A is a hallucinogenic compound with dissociative effects.

I don't think you'll get much help here.

It's fine and dandy that it may not be illegal where you live, but it is illegal in some places, which makes it a off-limits topic here (that's the rules, also it prevents the owner's of the site from getting into trouble).  However, most places where it isn't illegal you can buy it (I know you can in Minnesota at least).  If you are still interested in the chemistry, then in the wikipedia article they provide to references where synthesis have been performed.

If those articles aren't available to you, then either talk to your school's library, and if you aren't in a college with access, then you can usually pay for the articles.
