What is the mass percent concentration of a saline solution prepared by dissolving 1.00 moles of NaCl in 1.00 L of water?
The answer is = 5.52 mass %
I know how to calculate mass percent, but I am a little thrown off by the 1.00 L of water. I cannot seem to figure out how to set the problem up. I am reading my textbook and I am working the problems along the way to learn how to do them. However, I am stumped on this one. I know Molarity = moles of solute/liters of solution, but that isn't the question. Mass percent = mas of component/total mass of solution X 100 %. Could someone please help me with this?
