Well, it seems this sub-forum didn't have a thread on best texts for Analytical Chemistry. So we'll make this post sticky and post them here. To start with, the people I used to work with considered a good overall introduction to analytical chemistry to be: Instrumental Methods of Analysis

I'm very glad to have my fifth edition as a reference, although, I used to have an older revision, maybe third, and while the instruments were more old fashioned, I did like hearing about older, more manual methods.
