calculating correction coefficients??? *delete me*
« on: April 14, 2009, 09:15:44 PM »
I have this problem due in my Physical Chemistry class, and I'm struggling greatly with it:

"A hydrogen atom in its ground state is in a 1x10^6 (V/m) electric field. Calculate:

1) The coefficients, aj, of the corrections to its wavefunction using the 2s, 2px, 2py & 2pz wavefunctions
2) The first and second order corrections to its energy"

Any help with this problem would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
