calorimeter...
« on: April 25, 2009, 05:49:04 PM »
if you drop 25.00g of warm iron nails (initial temperature = 65.40C) into a calorimeter that contains 100.0g of water at 20C, what will the temperature be when the nails and water have reached the same temperature? specific heats of water and iron are 4.179 and 0.450 respectively)

so...u use the formula q = mc(delta)T. but i've never done a problem where i have to incorporate two heat capacities.... how do u go abouts in solving this problem??

Thanks in advance! :)
