Why are polymers more prone to creep than metals?
« on: April 25, 2009, 02:14:24 AM »
Please explain with the help of an example? Also, please explain which polymers are more to creep and why? eg: why are Polyamides (nylons) less prone to creep than the polyethylene (PE)?

as far as i know, polymers are more prone to creep than metals because of their melting temperatures which is >0.4tm. If there are any other points aswell please let me know because i need to revise for my exam..

please try to explain as much as possible :)
Thank you!
