Beer lamber law: determine the concentration of Glu
« on: September 21, 2009, 12:58:20 AM »
Determine the [glu] of the 3 samples using the beer lambert eq. e= 6.22E3

remember to take into account the dilution of each original aliquot into the total assay volume.

Tube    unknown(ul)    water(ul)     glucose(ul)    Absorbance
1         0                    530            500             0.0
2         30                   500            500             0.620
3         30                   500            500             0.614
4         30                   500             500            0.619

ok i know the beer lambert law
A=e c l  converts to  c= A/e l

for tube 2 i plugged in my values
C= 0.620/6.22E3*1 = 9.97E-5 M

So i dont understand how to take into account the dilution of the sample to come up with the final answer?

Help PLEASE
