« on: October 26, 2009, 09:45:38 AM »
Question is find empirical formula of Compound B, an oxide of aluminium. Given that 13.02g of compound B are formed when 6.03g of aluminium was reacted with excess oxygen.

What steps do I need o take here. Any help is appreciated.

What is mass ratio of oxygen to aluminum in the compound? What is molar ratio?
