bio-epoxy for bike design?
« on: November 01, 2009, 12:35:48 PM »
Hi again,

I'm also looking for a bio-epoxy or another appropriate bio-adhesive that can be used as an adhesive and filler between flaxfibers. The purpose is to make a bike, and I have been told that for this purpose, the e-modulus is the most important, meaning that the epoxy should not be too soft, and should be able to accept vibrations and significant stresses for a long period of time.

Also it should be made from bio-materials, be non-toxic to work with, and also not present hazards to nature on disposal.

Have searched, but have not found ... Any of you know of this? I've heard that a brazilian manufacturer might have such a product ...?

Suggestions appreciated  8)
