Alkene and alkyne reactions/synthesis
« on: November 09, 2009, 02:48:55 AM »
I am having a terrible time trying to remember all the reactions and chemicals associated with them. Are there any sources that help break them down so that I can learn how they work with as little memorization as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There really isn't any easier way to go than to 'practice' with old questions or perhaps making a mind map (which is what I did) of how to get from one compound to another.

If you want a book which also explains things, I'd recommend "Organic Chemistry as a Second Language", or at least that's what I remember the title to be. I quite appreciated it.
