How do I make standard solution of iodine in aqueous potassium iodide?

Thanks, I titrated a DCPIP solution against Vitamin C, but there was no pink colour change it just went straight to blue? Is DCPIP unreliable?

What pH? I seem to remember that it requires acidic solution to become pink, but I can be wrong.
