"Calculate the experimental mole ratio of iron:complex in flask 1 and flask 2"
(Report mole ratio as a number)
Equation I have is 5Fe^2+ + MnO4^- + 8H^+ ---> 5Fe^3+ + Mn^2+ +4H2O
I don't get how to do this, anyone know?
I used the equation in my lab manual which says:
Experimental Mole Ratio = Calculated number of moles of iron/Number of moles of complex theoretically present
So I plugged in my info and got 16.39 for flask 1 and 15.14 for flask 2
So now what am I supposed to do to show the mole ratio?
There's another Q after that one that's similar
I have to find the experimental mole ratio between oxalate : complex
I found the moles theoretically present in the complex which was 5.34x10^-4 in flask 1 and 5.02x10^-4 in flask 2
In the end I got 2.7 for flask 1 and 2.71 for flask 2... I don't get how to put that in ratios either
