Finding hydroxide ion concentration from given ph.
« on: April 12, 2010, 03:31:40 AM »
ok so if i have something with a pH of 1.9 and i am asked to find the concentration of H3O+ and OH-

im a little confused.

to find [H3O+] ==  >   [H3O+]= 10-1.9 = 0.0126M

so to find [OH-] = kw/[H3O+] = 10-14/0.0126  =7.937 x 10-13M

Is that how it is done? Please set me right.
