separation of polychlorinated decane mixtures
« on: August 26, 2010, 10:21:15 AM »
Hello everybody!

I am asked to solve an assignment. I have a mixture of polychlorinated decane. I have been asked to come up with any way (chemical derivatization or chromatography) to distinguish in this mixture the following subset of compounds:

1. compounds having vicinal chlorines
2. compounds having geminal chlorines
3. compounds having terminal chlorines

I will be very grateful for sharing with me any idea or literature.
regards
didni
