Dissolving copper to remove it from molybdenum boats
« on: March 14, 2011, 02:53:33 AM »
Hello everyone,

Great forum that's going on here.

I would like to know if there is any procedure to remove copper from molybdenum boats used in thermal evaporation apparatus.  the copper was left over after thermal evaporation from the Mo boat and i am not able to remove it, i think it could be the reason that i am not able to melt any more copper from the same boat.

I need any chemicals that can remove copper without the underlying molybdenum. Thanks in advance.
