stereochemistry of sulfinimine
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:52:35 PM »
hey guys
i was reading a topic about asymmetric synthesis of amines, using enantiopure of sulfinimine , it is nice topic but i was wondering where the stereogenic centre of sulfinimine lol . is it the nitrogen or Sp2 carbon of imine ( i am talking about absolute configuration R , and S)

No, on S (probably, you have not provided a structure). The stereogenic centre on S of sulfimides is analogous to the chirality of sulfoxides.
