Hello there,

I need to find the Kb value for HSO3-, and I don't understand how. I know it must be really simple because that is all the information we are given, along with a Ka value chart.

The Ka for HSO3- is 1 x 10^-7. Ka * Kb = Kw

Can't I just divide Kw by the Ka value? Apparently not... can someone help please?

Value for kw= 1.0x10^14

Looking for ka, I would assume you just divide kw/ka=kb.

Why not? This is a simple algebra.

$$ a \times b = c $$

so

$$ a = \frac c b $$
