My lab experiment ask 'why is a sodium carbonate solution more alkaline than a sodium bicarbonate solution?'. Is it NaHCO3 is monoprotic base, Na2CO3 a diprotic base? or NaHCO3 is less soluble in water than Na2CO3? If it is because NaHCO3 is less soluble in water than Na2CO3 than how we can express this behavior by chemical equations?
