« on: May 30, 2012, 10:07:26 AM »
Sorry, but can someone please tell me some methods how to determinate Na ions. Could be better with some complextitration or whatever.

AAS?

Generally speaking there are no good classical methods for sodium determination.

yes i know that, i was just thinking, maybe someone know something more about this. I have to write about  chrysanthemum juice, and all kind of methods hove to find all ions in there.
p.s. sorry about my English, i'm from Latvia.

Sometimes, when working with a known solution, for example -- sea water, we might use a general property, like density or conductivity, and assume it it all, or mostly, representative of sodium.  But plant tissue only has faint traces of sodium ions.  There's very few useful wet chemistry techniques for quantifying sodium ions already.  Going to trace levels is just making it more difficult.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

Flame photometry?
