Just a general question, not homework or anything...
So I know that Magnesium reacts with water to create magnesium oxide and hydrogen
Mg + H
2O -> MgO + H
2But i was reading about Magnesium oxide on Wikipedia, and it says that
"Magnesium hydroxide forms in the presence of water (MgO + H2O -> Mg(OH)2) "
Does this mean that the Magnesium Oxide created by Magnesium reacting with water will also react again with water to create Magnesium Hydroxide?
