titration of alkyl lithium
« on: January 15, 2013, 09:16:44 AM »
Hey everyone. I've been using n-BuLi for some reactions lately. I usually do the titration right before I use it, but was wondering how long I can wait between titration and the actual reaction. Is it a bad idea to do the titration on say  a Tuesday and then run the experiment on a Thursday? How fast does the concentration change if stored in a fridge?

As long as it has not been used and kept under nitrogen or argon the titration value should be good for a couple of weks or so.
