We measure the transfer of energy (heat) by recording the change in ___________ of a reaction.
I'm confused as to why the answer is not enthalpy, which I've confirmed is an incorrect answer.

How are you going to measure change in enthalpy?
What it the property of the matter that is related to heat and that we can easily measure?
