Enthalpy of Reaction
« on: January 24, 2013, 10:39:45 AM »
Hello folks

I am trying to work out my intro chem lab and am having some difficult. The questions states, 'Using Hess'
s Law and your results from part I and II, calculate the enthalpy of reaction for CH3COOH -> CH3COO-  +  H+

The results of my lab were:

dH for HCl + NaOH - > NaCl + H2O     -59 kJ/mol
dH for CH3COOH + NaOH -> NaCH3COO + H2O     -59 kJ/mol

Can anyone give me some help with solving this problem?

Thanks
